  4. If you have PC you will be able to access those folders and run the software.

  20. DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS, MACINTOSH INSTALLATION & PLAYBACK RECOMMENDATIONS:

  22. 1.  Drag the "DTG5 Startup" or "DTG5 Startup/PPC" (for Power Macs only)  icon from the CD-ROM onto your hard disk and run it from there for best performance.
  23.  
  24. 2.  Before playing DTG5 for the first time, you must install QuickTime 2.5. included on this disc (if you do not already have it installed).
  25.  
  26. 3.  TURN OFF AppleTalk (and any NETWORKING) from within the Chooser.
  27.  
  28. 4.  TURN OFF Virtual Memory  (under Control Panels, Memory).  If you are using 
  29. RAM Doubler¬ (an extension from Connectix) or Virtual Memory (an option 
  30. found on the Memory Control Panel), for the best performance, you should 
  31. disable them and restart your Macintosh before playing DTG5. 
  32.  
  33. 5.  Turn off unnecessary or unused Extensions and Control Panels.  They use 
  34. up valuable memory and are known to cause conflicts if too many or all are run 
  35. simultaneously.  Use Extensions Manager or other similar Startup Controller to 
  36. disable unwanted Extensions and Control Panels, or simply move them out of 
  37. the System:Extensions folder to a new folder named "Extensions (Disabled)".

  39. 6.  Restart your Macintosh.
  40.  
  41. The "DTG5 Startup" application is a "fat binary" and runs on all Macintosh computers.
  42.  
  43. If you have a Power Mac, the startup file "DTG5 Startup/PPC" has been compiled for Native Power Mac (PowerPC) machines.

  45. DTG5 RECOMMENDED MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:

  48. 8 MB RAM or better
  49. 13 inch Monitor or better
